Buster guest stars as "The Man" on the Rheingold Theatre TV show production of "The Awakening," an adaptation of Gogol's story "The Cloak"—which also stars Douglas Fairbanks Jr. It is Buster’s first dramatic appearance on network television.

"Speak Easily,” with the title "Hajamielinen professori,” opens in Finland. Meaning “The Absent-Minded Professor," with Buster Keaton, Jimmy Durante, and Thelma Todd.
